PRESS RELEASE
Sunny days and cold nights are just what we need to jumpstart vibrant fall color.
Right now, only a few trees and vines are starting to pop, but it won’t be long before gorgeous autumn hues blanket our forests.
Only Mother Nature knows when leaves will peak, but the best color usually begins toward late October into early November.
Dogwoods and sourwoods, typically among the first to turn, are just now showing muted red. Poplars are mostly green, with some yellow and brown leaves falling. You may find a few red maples or Virginia creeper.
